School Tax Penalty Refund Form Now Available

At its meeting on October 8, the Scarsdale Town Board approved a process to refund 2023-24 real property school tax penalties to qualified residents. Qualified residents who wish to apply for a refund for penalties can do so using the online application form. Please note it is anticipated refunds will take four to six weeks to process.

As a reminder, the Town Board passed a home rule request in response to concerns from residents who had not received their school tax bills via USPS and consequently incurred school tax penalties. During the summer, the corresponding bill was approved by both the Assembly and State Senate and signed by Governor Kathy Hochul on September 20.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Village Treasurer’s Office at 914-722-1170 or treasurer@scarsdale.gov.
