Pool Complex Project: Feedback Sought by December 1 After three years of research, studies, and through gathering community input, the Village of Scarsdale, the Pool Advisory Committee, Lothrop Associates and Hill International made an important pre-design phase presentation to the community at the Village Board’s Tuesday, October 29, work session. Mayor Justin Arest stressed that no decisions have been made as far as actual design, amenities or costs related to the project. He said the Village is still collecting public feedback, which should be sent by December 1 to poolcomments@scarsdale.gov. Work on the aging facility is expected to begin after the 2025 pool season. How to Recycle Your Pumpkins After Halloween The Village has three easy ways you can recycle/compost your old pumpkins and gourds: (a) Place your pumpkins in or next to your food scrap recycling bin for curbside pickup; (b) Bring your pumpkins directly to the food scrap recycling drop-off site at the Scarsdale Recycling Center (110 Secor Road, Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.); or (c) Place the pumpkins in your yard waste pile. By recycling your pumpkins, they are being turned into new compost and soil. If you are not yet participating in the food scrap recycling program and would like to join, email composting@scarsdale.gov.
