Scarsdale Food Drive Now Underway

The Village of Scarsdale’s community-wide Food Drive is currently underway and will continue through July 31. Held in partnership with Feeding Westchester, the drive aims to support local families facing increased need during the summer months, when donations drop but demand remains high. Currently, 1 in 3 Westchester County households faces hunger. Residents are encouraged to donate nutritious, non-perishable items such as whole grains, shelf-stable milk, peanut butter, and canned goods that are low in sodium and added sugars. Donations can be placed in large white bins located throughout the Village (full list at scarsdale.gov/fooddrive) or purchased online through the Feeding Westchester Amazon Wishlist.

Traffic Study Underway for Mamaroneck Road Corridor

Following Village Board approval on June 10, a traffic study of the Mamaroneck Road corridor is now underway. Conducted by DTS Provident, this study is a key first step in advancing potential recreation facility improvements identified in the Joint Field Study, including recommendations for the Boulder Brook Complex and Crossway fields. Given the anticipated increase in traffic from planned enhancements to the pool complex, the Village prioritized moving forward with this analysis. Traffic data has already been collected over multiple days, and preliminary findings are expected later this month. A final report is anticipated by the end of the summer.
