Reminder: Recycle Batteries Safely in ScarsdaleLithium-ion and other household batteries should NEVER go in the trash or curbside recycling, as they pose fire risks and contain materials that can be reused. Instead, bring them to a local drop-off site: Scarsdale Recycling Center (110 Secor Rd.) – Blue battery tube inside office, Mon–Sat, 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Village Hall (1001 Post Rd.) – Blue battery tube in ground floor lobby, Mon–Fri, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Westchester County H-MRF (Valhalla) – Accepts industrial, damaged, or vehicle batteries by appointment.
Most common types—including alkaline, rechargeable, lithium-ion, button cells, and silver oxide—are accepted. For more information, visit the Battery Recycling page of the Village website. |
