SPD Recognized for Excellence with State Accreditation

The Scarsdale Police Department has once again earned accreditation through the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Law Enforcement Agency Accreditation Program. This voluntary program, held by fewer than 40% of police departments statewide, recognizes agencies that meet 112 rigorous standards in administration, operations, and training. Scarsdale has maintained this distinction since 1990, reflecting its ongoing commitment to professionalism, accountability, and best practices in modern policing. Accreditation is valid for five years, with annual compliance reports required. Read the full press release here.
