VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT Overnight Parking Restrictions Will Begin December 1 Seasonal overnight parking restrictions will take effect December 1 through March 31. Last year, the Village Board passed a local law moving the start date of the seasonal restriction from November 1 to December 1, which will be especially helpful to those with visiting family during the Thanksgiving holiday. Beginning December 1, on-street parking is prohibited from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Village roadways. This restriction facilitates snow and ice fighting operations by having streets free of vehicles during the overnight hours and thereby allowing curb-to-curb plowing and salting operations.

VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT ICYMI: Consortium Influences Potential 3-Year Con Ed SettlementThe Westchester Municipal Consortium (WMC), an unprecedented coalition of 40 local municipalities, including Scarsdale, that joined forces to become a party to Con Edison’s 2025 electric and gas rate case filings before the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC), announced that a three-year settlement agreement or a Joint Proposal has been formally reached between Con Edison, the PSC staff, and other parties. The terms of the filed agreement represent significant progress for Westchester residents and businesses in ensuring fairer and more transparent utility practices as the Joint Proposal substantially reduces Con Edison’s original rate requests and includes several key provisions advanced by the WMC. Because these provisions were successfully incorporated into the three-year settlement, the Consortium will not oppose the agreement. Read more here
