VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT Spring Parking Permits On Sale MondayPlease be advised that Spring Semi-Annual Parking Permits will go on sale Monday, March 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. All available permits will be issued on a first-arrived, first-served basis. Applications and payment will be accepted online only through the Village's new parking permit portal at permitpurchase.com/scarsdale. This is a new process intended to save time, reduce paperwork, and improve the efficiency of purchasing a parking permit. Please review the letter linked here for more information.

VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT February 24, 2026 Village Board Meeting Recap At the February 24, 2026 Village Board Meeting, Mayor Justin Arest discussed the General Order on how the Scarsdale Police Department is to address immigration status in law enforcement. The agenda also included resolutions adopting a local law to amend of the Village Code concerning swimming pool fence spacing, adopting the revised internal control policy, amending a professional service agreement with Lothrop Associate Architects, and awarding a contract for Managed Information Technology and Cybersecurity Services. VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT Report Potholes on State-Maintained Roads in ScarsdaleThroughout the winter months, roadways become increasingly vulnerable to an increased number of potholes due to snow, ice, and plowing activities. The New York State Department of Transportation maintains a pothole hotline for reporting damaged roadways. There are three State roads within the Village of Scarsdale: Palmer Avenue, Weaver Street and Route 22. Residents are encouraged to call 1-800-POTHOLE (1-800-768-4653) or click here to report potholes on any of the three State roadways that run through our Village. To report potholes on local roads, email publicworks@scarsdale.gov or call 914-722-1150.

VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT Capital Projects and Fleet Replacement Discussed at Budget Work Session At the February 24 Village Board budget work session, the Trustees heard a presentation from Superintendent of Public Works Jeff Coleman on Capital Projects and Public Works Fleet Replacement as they relate to the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget. Upcoming budget work sessions will be held on the following dates in the 3rd floor meeting room at Village Hall: - Tuesday, March 3 at 5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m.

VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT Deadline Extended: America 250/Scarsdale 325 Oral History Initiative Nominations In celebration of our local history and in honor of Scarsdale's 325th anniversary, the Village is coordinating an Oral History Initiative. The project will feature video interviews from current and former Scarsdale residents discussing our Village's unique past. Community members are encouraged to nominate themselves or others who are current or former Scarsdale residents to participate in this Oral History project. Participation entails appearing on video and sharing stories, information, and firsthand accounts of Scarsdale’s history. Participants may be interviewed by members of the Oral History Initiative Committee and will be required to sign a video release form prior to filming. Nominations may be submitted using the online form linked here and are due by Friday, March 6. The Committee will review all nomination submissions, but cannot guarantee the number of submissions that will be selected. VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT America 250/Scarsdale 325 Flag Design Contest In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and the 325th anniversary of Scarsdale, the Village will be hosting a Flag Design Contest to mark the occasion. Residents of all ages are invited to create a unique design that celebrates these milestones and showcases our vibrant community. Flags should be representative of both our Village and our country, tying together local and national history. The winning design will be transformed into a physical flag that will be flown at Village Hall and other Village properties throughout 2026. Residents are encouraged to use their creativity and join us in commemorating these important anniversaries. RECREATION SPOTLIGHT Registration for 15K/4-Mile Races Ends March 22The Scarsdale Recreation Department’s Annual 15K and 4-mile Races are back for the 56th year! Join us on Sunday, March 22 for either the 4-mile race at 9:15 a.m. or the 15K race at 9:30 a.m. Visit the race website and register online here. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome! Registration ($45 plus fees) ends March 22. Participants will set out from Scarsdale High School through Fox Meadow and Greenacres before returning to SHS to finish on the track. Virtual 15K and 4-mile races are also available for those who cannot or do not wish to participate in person.
