Pool Redevelopment Project Takes Major Steps Forward

At the March 10, 2026 Meeting the Village Board of Trustees passed five important agenda items relating to the new indoor/outdoor pool facility construction and rehabilitation. The first was accepting the negative State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) determination that states will be no negative environmental impacts due to the project and that an Environmental Impact Study is not required to move forward. The other four items were for bonds totaling $74 million for pool-related costs. Click here for more information on the bond resolutions.

America 250/Scarsdale 325 Flag Design Contest Deadline March 20

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and the 325th anniversary of Scarsdale, the Village will be hosting a Flag Design Contest to mark the occasion. Residents of all ages are invited to create a unique design that celebrates these milestones and showcases our vibrant community. Flags should be representative of both our Village and our country, tying together local and national history. The winning design will be transformed into a physical flag that will be flown at Village Hall and other Village properties throughout 2026. Residents are encouraged to use their creativity and join us in commemorating these important anniversaries.

Entries must be received by March 20 at 5 p.m. Click here for complete details and here for the design submission form.

Storm drain

VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT
Stormwater and Waterway Protection

As warmer weather returns and residents begin spring yard work and outdoor activities, it’s a good time to remember that stormwater runoff from streets, lawns, and parking lots flows directly into the Village’s storm sewer system and ultimately into local waterways. Everyday activities, such as improper disposal of pet waste, fertilizer runoff from lawns, or sediment from construction projects, can carry pollutants into nearby streams.

The Village of Scarsdale maintains a Stormwater Management program to help protect water quality and reduce pollution entering the storm sewer system. Residents and businesses can learn more about simple steps to help protect local waterways by visiting the Village’s Stormwater Management page, which includes informational bulletins on topics such as phosphorus pollution, pet waste management, illicit discharge prevention, and sediment control.

Pothole

Report Potholes on State-Maintained Roads in Scarsdale

Throughout the winter months, roadways become increasingly vulnerable to an increased number of potholes due to snow, ice, and plowing activities. The New York State Department of Transportation maintains a pothole hotline for reporting damaged roadways. There are three State roads within the Village of Scarsdale: Palmer Avenue, Weaver Street and Route 22.

Residents are encouraged to call 1-800-POTHOLE (1-800-768-4653) or click here to report potholes on any of the three State roadways that run through our Village.

To report potholes on local roads, email publicworks@scarsdale.gov or call 914-722-1150.
