Mayor's Report

Good evening. I’d like to share a few community updates. On September 14 we enjoyed Rock the ’Dale in the Village Center, part of Destination Scarsdale. My thanks to the SBA and Down to Earth Markets for ensuring our Farmers Market and Sundays in the ’Dale continue to grow. The market runs through November 23. On September 21 I joined County Executive Jenkins and others to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bronx River Parkway Reservation, our county’s oldest park and one of the nation’s first linear parks. On September 26, Trustee Kaufman, Deputy Mayor Gruenberg, Manager Marshall, Deputy Manager Shallow, and I participated in the League of Women Voters Scarsdale forum at the Library, presenting Village projects and priorities. Looking ahead, October 5 brings the Scarsdale Concours d’Elegance, and October 12 we will host Paint the ’Dale in partnership with the Arts Council, Human Relations Advisory Council, Communications Council, and SBA. Finally, to all who observe, wishing you an easy and meaningful Yom Kippur fast.

Thank you, Mayor. A quick reminder that due to the Concours d’Elegance, the Farmers Market will be canceled Sunday, October 5. It will return Sunday, October 12 with fall produce, baked goods, and more.
