The Village of Scarsdale and the Scarsdale Business Alliance are thrilled to invite all residents to participate in the first-ever community mural event, “Paint the ’Dale: A Community Mural Project.” Paint the ’Dale is a free, family-friendly event where residents can help paint a mural and enjoy art activities, crafts, and games at Chase Park. Help Create a “We ♥ Scarsdale” Mural with Artist Joe Pimentel

Be part of creating Scarsdale’s newest piece of public art — the “We ♥ Scarsdale” mural, designed by acclaimed Westchester artist Joe Pimentel.

All painting time slots are now full, but you can still join the waitlist by clicking the button below. If space opens, waitlisted participants will be notified. Anyone ages five and older will have the chance to add their brushstrokes to the mural. All paint and supplies will be provided — just bring comfortable clothes for painting, sun protection, and a water bottle.

Please note: A timelapse video will capture the mural’s progress, and participants may appear in photos or video highlights shared on Village and Scarsdale Business Alliance social media.

Add Your Voice to the “We ♥ Scarsdale” Video Project

The Village of Scarsdale and the Scarsdale Business Alliance (SBA) invite residents to be part of the special “We ♥ Scarsdale” video montage celebrating the heart of our Village. The finished montage will combine short resident submissions with photos and clips from Paint the ’Dale mural painting, creating a collective snapshot of Scarsdale pride.

We’re looking for 15–20 second video clips of residents sharing why they love Scarsdale. Your message can be simple and heartfelt — whether it’s about the community, schools, parks, history, or what makes Scarsdale feel like home.

Paint the ’Dale isn’t just about the mural — there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

🌸 Garden of Gratitude
Choose a smooth stone, paint it with bright colors, and write a short message of thanks, hope, or encouragement. When you’re done, add it to our growing rock garden in Chase Park. By the end of the day, we’ll have a beautiful display of community positivity for everyone to see.

🎨 Hands-On Art Projects
Local artists and art studios will host mini-projects where you can experiment with paint, collage, and other materials. These quick, approachable activities are perfect for kids and adults alike, and you’ll have something unique to take home!

🖍 Crafts & Games
Stop by the craft tables for kid-friendly art projects, coloring stations, and easy make-and-take creations. Plus, enjoy classic lawn games for some lighthearted fun between painting sessions.

Snap a selfie at the photo station, share what you love about Scarsdale on the community message wall, and help us capture the spirit of the day.

Paint the ’Dale is part of the Destination Scarsdale Event Series and is proudly presented in collaboration with the Scarsdale Village Arts Advisory Council, the Advisory Council on Human Relations, and the Scarsdale Business Alliance, with valuable input from the Village Historians.
